Position Summary: The Behavioral Health Provider operates under the general supervision of the facility behavioral health services (BHS) supervisor. In this part-time contract role, you will assess the risk for suicide and mental health stability among incarcerated juveniles. You will also conduct biopsychosocial assessments and updates for youth involved in legal proceedings and residing in correctional facilities. Your work will contribute to positive outcomes and youth well-being within this unique context.
Responsibilities:
• Assess the risk of suicide and mental health stability for incarcerated juveniles.
• Perform thorough biopsychosocial assessments for incarcerated youth.
• Make informed clinical decisions related to treatment status and needs.
• Ensure meticulous completion of all necessary documentation.
• Collaborate closely with BHS to facilitate seamless service delivery.
• Provide coverage during weekends and holidays as coordinated with BHS.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in clinical decision-making of suicidal clients, and experience in conducting biopsychosocial assessments of youth.
AND one of the following independent licenses:
• Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) by Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board.
• Or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) by Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board.
• Or Licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (IMFT) by the Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board.
Completion of continuing professional education for license renewal pursuant to relevant sections of Ohio Revised Code.
