Childcare Caregiver (2nd Adult Caregiver / Substitute)

We are currently seeking a second Adult Caregiver/Substitute to support the Daycare Team Leader in providing high-quality care to the children at EBCH Daycare. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing age-appropriate programs and daily routines. Creating a nurturing environment that fosters child development. Utilizing positive behavior management techniques to maintain a safe and healthy atmosphere. Your contribution will be vital in ensuring that all children receive the care they deserve.
This position is ideal for individuals seeking to advance their career in childcare. It provides a clear pathway for growth, with the opportunity to transition into the Daycare Team Leader role. The position starts part-time (3 days per week), with the potential to transition into full-time.
Responsibilities:
· Support the Team Leader in executing daily care routines and developmental activities.
· Foster a safe, clean, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and development.
· Engage with children using age-appropriate, positive guidance and behavior management techniques.
· Maintain compliance with all safety, health, and licensing regulations.
· Step into the primary caregiver role as a substitute when needed.
Education and/or Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Valid Pediatric CPR and 1st Aid certification. Following all initial training course requirements, all minimum annual training per year required must be completed thereafter.
· Degree in early Childhood Education, family and Child Sciences, Child Development, or Early Childhood Special Education preferred.
· It is required; the 2nd adult caregiver / substitute must comply with all MN State and Saint Louis County requirements. The 2nd adult caregiver/substitute must be willing to obtain their licensure.

Wage:
· $24 - $27 per hour, based on previous experience, skill set and obtaining a license
