Summary:
The Horticulturist
Assistant will work closely with the Head Horticulturist and the Glendale
leadership team. This role is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of
all flower beds across the property and ensuring overall cleanliness around the
Clubhouse and outdoor pool areas.
Schedule:
· Full-Time; Seasonal; $18/ Hour.
· Sunday to Thursday.
· 8-hour shifts during the week/6-hour shifts on weekends.
· Early mornings and weekend work are required.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the care and maintenance of all herbaceous and woody plant species throughout the property.
- Provide regular updates to the Head Horticulturist on the condition of flower beds.
- Take initiative and manage daily tasks independently when the Head Horticulturist is off.
- Uphold and adhere to the club’s mission and values.
- Safely operate equipment required for horticultural tasks.
- Complete assigned tasks to the standards set by the Head Horticulturist.
- Ensure the Clubhouse and surrounding areas make a strong first impression by maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Keep equipment and work areas clean and well maintained.
- Foster a safe, professional, and respectful work environment.
- Assist with golf course maintenance on special occasions as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Versatile skill set with experience in plant care and landscaping.
- Previous experience maintaining herbaceous and woody plant species.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to learn quickly.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
