#139-24 DDS Staffing and Scheduling Specialist
SUMMARY: The Staffing and Scheduling Specialist is a role that will oversee CPM DDS programs personnel need by developing staffing strategies. This role will be responsible for implementing staffing solutions to contractually meet the obligated staffing ratios of the DDS 24 hr. residential programs and day services. The role will ensure that staffing patterns for 24hr residential and day support services are met daily addressing any day-to-day staffing needs that arise. The Staffing and Scheduling Specialist will work with the Program Coordinators to identify staffing needs, create work schedules and identify vacancies to ensure service ratios are met. The Staffing and Scheduling Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining CPM residential houses budgets, tracking various accounting expenditures and overtime hours clocked by the staff.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate’s degree in business or similar educational field and/or equivalent experience preferred.
- DDS residential and day services program knowledge preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and data platforms
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the Deputy Directors of Residential and Day Services, and the Program Coordinators, to identify staffing requirements and create a staffing strategy.
- Be responsible for any call outs and ensure appropriate coverage is in place, identifies staffing patterns and develops schedules for service locations that meet compliance and ratio requirements.
- Develop and implement staffing process to address call outs, staff shortages and emergency coverage, ensuring ratios are met.
- Secures staff in response to call outs, staff absences, leaves, vacations; ensuring appropriate staffing rations are met.
- Address call outs and coverage needs by communicating professionally. Expresses clearly the staffing needs and proposed solutions while maintaining a calm and composed demeanor.
- Utilize the Attendance policy and track excessive leave and absences of employees. Provides recommendations to Director of Human Services of appropriate actions, progressive discipline or program adjustments.
- Monitor day-to-day operational systems and provide Director of Human Services feedback on how to improve logistical challenges of the operations.
- Maintain House budgets and track expenses, including overtime hours from the staff.
- Works with IT to identify software or tools that will enhance the logistical requirements of maintaining a scheduling database and updated employee information.

SCHEDULE: Part time: Varies = Remote with at least 1 day a week in office
