Atwater's Kenilworth Server Supervisor
The supervisor must be an enthusiastic, self-motivated, positive, and flexible individual. Supervisors must embrace in action and intention Atwater’s mission and policies. Essential parts of your responsibilities are maintaining the general appearance of the store and creating cohesive working conditions. Inspire service that makes customers’ and co-workers’ days. Recognizing co-worker’s performance with verbal praise, and bringing negative patterns to the manager's attention.
The supervisor serves as a source of information for the staff as well as the customer. Cultivate connections with customers and co-workers that build a sense of community. Be knowledgeable about how we make our food, where our ingredients come from, and why we make the food we do.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
Store presentation and operations:
- Initiate and check on opening or closing, cleaning tasks and restocking responsibilities, and follow up on their completion.
- Work with other managers, assistant managers and supervisors to make sure each area of the store looks its best every day.
- Check inventory and order merchandise and supplies assigned. Also, check-in orders from other locations or vendors.
- Follow cash handling procedures and cash register policies e.g. accurate cash handling and reconciliation of change due to customers. Count and tally money in the register for opening or closing.
- Willingness to open or close at least 2 days a week and work weekends.
- Report equipment & fixture needs to the manager as soon as possible. Make sure the safety & well-being of the staff & customers is a top priority. Take corrective measures when necessary. · Record/write any concerns, messages, to-dos of daily activities and irregularities in the supervisor notebook in the office; and review notebook prior to the beginning of the shift.
- Call General Managers in case of emergency.
Staff Management:
- Supervisors need to lead by example from motivating the team to complete the sales process, ensure customer satisfaction, comply with company procedures and maximize productivity and profitability.
- Take responsibility to enforce store policies & procedures to the entire staff.
- Efficiently delegate tasks and give directions to employees & set up checkpoints to assure the functions are properly completed.
- The supervisor is responsible for reporting any problems or concerns to the Manager.
- Help develop and follow the plan for the store and company.

- Welcome and connect with each customer.
- Promote customer relations through networking, staff awareness programs, staff incentives & training.
- Educate customers and staff through sharing your knowledge and the use of signs and sampling.
- Be solution-oriented and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- Follow up on customers’ complaints and suggestions.
