Payroll Specialist
Payentry is actively seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our Client Service Department. Payroll Specialists process payroll for clients on a daily basis and assist with payroll distribution, while also providing the highest quality of customer service. This position is responsible for handling a high volume of inbound customer service phone calls and also high levels of data entry to enter payroll data into the payroll system accurately and efficiently.
JOB DUTIES:
Inbound phone and email-based customer service
Data entry and import of time detail into the payroll system
Review of all information for completeness and accuracy
Report potential issues to customers
Calculate and process all payroll-related changes
Act as primary contact for clients regarding payroll concerns as needed
Research and resolve any customer or system problems
Verify payroll output against payroll reports and registers prior to distribution of checks to maintain accuracy
Assist with payroll shipments and packages
**Other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
College degree or combination of education and work experience preferred
1-3 years of customer-facing customer support experience preferred
Strong mental math and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and organization skills
Ability to listen and communicate effectively and professionally
Basic understanding of Microsoft Applications
Strong computer and computer programs/ systems skills
Ability to work individually and also on a team with tight deadlines
Ability to manage multiple customer accounts, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
Ability to handle high inbound phone volume and inbound email and service tickets volume
