Legal Services of North Florida has an opening for a Staff Attorney for the Florida Legal Aid Enhancement Project. FLAEP is a federally-funded project to work with other Florida partners to improve access to legal assistance for elders with critical needs. This Staff Attorney will engage in direct representation, extensive outreach, and community education, and development of technology and other tools to improve access to legal help for elders. Candidates should be a member of The Florida Bar with at least five years of law or related experience. Ability to work independently and in team environments, to analyze complex issues and to obtain results to positively impact the client and community is desired. Position located in our Pensacola office.
An entry-level salary of $61,000 is negotiable depending on experience. Comprehensive fringe
benefits package includes: paid holidays, paid vacation (which after two years,
increases to five weeks per year), and sick leave. After sixty days of
full-time employment, fully paid health insurance for employee & dependent
children and employee life insurance policy. Additional voluntary options of vision,
dental, term life, and disability insurance are also available, as well as
retirement savings plans with employer contributions after one year of service.
