Medical Assistant

Job Overview:
We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Medical Assistant with experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment while providing excellent patient care.In this role, you will support our healthcare providers in delivering excellent care to patients. Your responsibilities will include clinical and administrative tasks, such as taking patient histories, assisting with exams, and managing patient records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and prepare patients for examinations
• Take and document patient vital signs, histories, and symptoms
• Assist healthcare providers during patient exams and procedures
• Perform basic lab tests, injections,  and administer medications as directed
• Ensure exam rooms are stocked and prepared for patient visits
• Schedule appointments, process referrals, and assist with patient check-ins/check-outs
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EMR system
• Provide patient education on treatments, medications, and aftercare instructions
• Assist with insurance verifications as needed

Qualifications:

• Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program
• Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience in a family practice or primary care setting preferred but not required
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
