ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Marketing Coordinator plays an important role in supporting day-to-day marketing operations for a marketing agency within Niagara FallsThis role focuses on marketing coordination, website updates, research, reporting, and administrative support to ensure projects and client work are organized and executed efficiently.

The Marketing Coordinator will assist with maintaining website content, organizing marketing assets, conducting research, and supporting project coordination across multiple client initiatives. The main objective of this role is to help maintain efficient marketing workflows and support the successful delivery of client projects.

While the primary focus of this role is marketing coordination, website support, and administrative tasks, the coordinator may also assist with social media content, copy editing, and digital marketing support as needed.

WAGE: $18 per hour 
HOURS OF WORK: 35 Hours 
PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT: May 11th – August 28th, 2026 
LOCATION: In Person, Downtown Niagara Falls

NOTE: This role is part of a secondment arrangement. The successful candidate will be employed by Civiconnect, but their day-to-day responsibilities will be carried out with a partner organization under their operational supervision.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with website updates and content management using CMS platforms such as WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace.

  • Support marketing campaigns by organizing assets, tasks, and timelines.

  • Conduct research on potential leads, partnerships, or media opportunities.

  • Assist with compiling reports and organizing marketing data.

  • Provide inbox and administrative support for client communications when required.

  • Coordinate project tasks and maintain project tracking systems.

  • Organize and maintain digital assets, marketing materials, and documentation.

  • Assist with editing marketing copy and website content.

  • Provide support across marketing initiatives, including content development and campaign coordination.

  • Assist with social media and content support when required.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.

  • Stay informed on digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices.

  • Complete self-directed online courses.

  • Participate in soft skills workshops.

  • Other duties as required.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Mandatory attendance is required for soft skills workshops.


PROGRAMS / SOFTWARE USED:

Google Workspace, Asana, Canva, AI tools, social media platforms, and CMS platforms such as WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace.

The YSS is an integrated learning environment, and no prior experience is required; however, knowledge of the following is beneficial:

  • Familiarity with website content management systems.

  • Basic understanding of digital marketing concepts.

  • Experience organizing projects or administrative workflows.


ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: 

Civiconnect receives government funding based on certain eligibility requirements. Please only apply if you meet the following criteria:

  • Must be between 18-29 years of age

  • Must be enrolled in part-time or full-time studies at a Canadian post-secondary institution with a co-op or internship

  • Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident

  • Must be able to work full-time, in person for a duration of 16 weeks.

You will need to provide certain administrative documents if offered employment, including:

  • Proof of ID (copy of Birth Certificate, Passport, Permanent Resident card)

  • Proof of Enrolment letter from Registrar office

  • TD1 & TD1ON completed

  • Direct deposit slip from financial institution
