JOB SCHEDULE

Seasonal Position – Part-Time; Hourly

Daytime, evening, and weekend availability required.

JOB OUTLINE

Lifeguard

·         Supervise swimming activities at the pool and ensure that policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed.

·         Warn swimmers of improper activities or danger and enforce pool regulations and water safety policies.

·         Evaluate conditions for safety and initiate aquatics emergency action plan as required.

·         Ensure a clean and welcome environment for members.

·         Greet and check-in members and their guests.

·         Build rapport with members.

·         Conduct daily cleaning of pool deck, green space, and changerooms.

·         Conduct water tests to monitor pool chemistry when necessary.

·         Respond to any first aid emergencies in the pool and surrounding area.

·         Maintain communication with supervisory staff regarding any issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Current National Lifeguard

·         Intermediate First Aid CPR-C and AED Certification

·         Previous experience in an aquatic’s facility is an asset

Only applicants selected for interviews will be contacted. Anticipated pool opening May 30th. Anticipated pool closing is the Monday of September long weekend. Should be available for site wide training April 1^st and orientation/in-service training in May.
