Your Role
The Facilities Support role is responsible for, but not limited to, room turnovers as per established standards, overall cleanliness of the House including mopping, sweeping, tidying the kitchen as well as supporting the Family Services team.
This is a part time position based out of the Edmonton Ronald McDonald House, working 32 hours bi-weekly. The schedule for this role would include every Wednesday 1-9pm, and 2 shifts every other weekend (either 7-3pm or 1-9pm). Additional shifts may be available to cover vacation, sickness, etc.

By maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization across guest rooms and shared spaces, this role directly supports family well‑being, public health requirements, and the overall comfort of the House. Behind the scenes, Facilities Support ensures that families can focus on what matters most—the care and recovery of their child—while experiencing a true “home away from home.”
Your Key Responsibilities Your Key Responsibilities
Room turnover including sweeping, dusting, wiping walls, cleaning curtains, windows and washrooms, making beds as per established standards
Ensuring linens and towels and laundered
Stocking of rooms and common areas with family supplies as required
Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchens, adhering to all Public Health guidelines
Sanitation and mopping of all common areas
Organizing all common areas and ensuring the areas are presented well to all guests. This includes both indoor and outdoor living spaces
Placing all waste and recycling in proper receptacles
Identifying the need for and supporting response to pest management as required
Greeting and supporting Helping Hands volunteers and other cleaning focused volunteers
Acting as a contact and information source for contractors and vendors as required (ie: Alsco, Cintas, repair contractors)
Cross functional team support (Programs and Family Services) when required
Supporting the mission, vision and objectives of Ronald McDonald House Alberta
All other tasks as required
Required Qualifications
High school diploma
3+ years of experience as a Housekeeper
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to do a physically demanding job
Must provide a clear criminal record check
Nice to Haves
Experience in the hospitality industry with room turnovers
Standard First Aid CPR-C and AED certification
