Construction Project Manager Overview
PAY AND BENEFITS 

  • Allowances †$500/mo truck allowance
  • American Express Card for Expenses
  • Fuel (up to one tank per week unless authorized for more)
  • Insurance †Company contributes up to $300/mo for entire plan 
  • PTO †120hrs per year (does not roll over each year)
  • 401K – Crimson match 50% employee contribution up to 6% of base salary

JOB OVERVIEW

ï‚· Charting out the project objectives and plans, setting performance requirements, and
selecting project participants.
 Bringing about optimum utilization of resources†labor, materials and equipment, and ensuring
their
procurement at most costâ€effective terms.
ï‚· Implementation of various operations through proper coordination.
ï‚· Development of effective communications and mechanisms for resolving conflicts among the
various participants.

Construction Project Manager Responsibilities:

ï‚· Oversee the construction project from start to finish.
ï‚· Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed.
ï‚· Create the teams, develop the objectives/goals of each and assign individual
responsibilities.
ï‚· Project accounting functions including managing the budget, tracking if team expenses and
minimizing exposure and risk in the project
ï‚· Ensure that construction activities move according to preâ€determined schedule.
ï‚· Devise the project work plans and make revisions as and when need arises.
ï‚· Communicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phases of the
project.
ï‚· Coâ€ordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the architects,
consultants, contractors, subâ€contractors and laborers.
ï‚· Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular
status meetings with all the subâ€teams.
ï‚· Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards.
ï‚· Periodic inspection of construction sites.
ï‚· Ensure project documents are complete.
ï‚· Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and
claims.
ï‚· Serve as a key link with the clients and review the deliverable prepared by the team before
passing onto client.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

ï‚· A fourâ€year bachelor’s degree †construction management, civil engineering or related fields
a plus.
ï‚· Minimum 5 years of experience in construction projects.
ï‚· Excellent communication skills.
ï‚· Thorough knowledge of legal issues and safety standards is essential.

ï‚· Ability to plan and organize a team effort.
ï‚· Good client management and goodwill building ability.
ï‚· Capacity to motivate, lead and boost the morale of the teams.
ï‚· Effective time management and logical decisionâ€making ability.

ï‚· Willingness to travel extensively across the construction sites.
ï‚· Physical and mental fitness is a given.
