Trouble Locate Technician $25.00-$35.00 Phoenix, Arizona

ELM Utility Services, with a team of over 1300 employees nationwide, is offering a great opportunity for a Trouble Technician to work in the Phoenix, AZ area. Your primary responsibility will be to correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities including electric, gas, particularly on urgent/emergency basis. This will require that you manage your own geographic area and schedule within certain parameters, and that you are committed to the high quality and accuracy of your work to ensure that clients and contractors can operate in complete safety and with full knowledge of the location of any underground utility lines they may encounter. ELM utilizes our technicians use the advanced LaunchPoint software system, which incorporates the latest technology to create efficiencies. .  With starting pay from $25.00-$35.00 per hour depending on experience.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

• Working independently outdoors with your company-provided vehicle as your mobile office, you will complete a route of locate requests each day

• Searching for underground utilities and accurately marking the location

• Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and sometimes whiskers

• Use your mobile work system to receive your daily tasks

• Ensuring that clients and contractors suffer no damages or injuries due to mis-located utilities

• Responding to emergency calls in a timely manner

• Working periodic weekend on-call rotation

Qualifications: 

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug, Motor Vehicle Record, and background check. ***Please note: This is a Safety-Sensitive DOT position that must comply with all Federal Department of Transportation regulations. The use of Marijuana remains a drug listed in Schedule III of the Controlled Substances Act, and the use of marijuana (medical or recreational) is prohibited.

• High School Diploma or GED & at least 18 years of age

• Valid driver’s license
