We are seeking a Registrar, Child Care to provide administration and registration support to the YMCA Child Care programs. The Registrar will be responsible for managing registration system tables, billing processes, and scheduling payments including the recovery of NSF. This role also provides administrative support through mailings, data entry, research and the coordination of funding applications, including Child Care subsidy and Operation Grant Program (OGP) administration. The ideal candidate is an independent, self-motivated individual with strong organizational and analytical skills. This position is based out of St. John’s with an expected start date of February 1, 2026.
Job Requirements
- Business Diploma or Degree, or office administration/management experience, or a combination of education and experience
- Proven communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated collaboration, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple, competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to process improvement
- Accurate tracking and recording of information
- Knowledge of Child Care is considered an asset
- High level of diplomacy and demonstrated ability to handle sensitive, confidential situations or information
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Office 365, Microsoft Excel experience in ActiveNet is ideal
- Emergency First Aid and CPR Level C
- Criminal Records Checks and Vulnerable Sectors Checks are reviewed on an individual basis
