Key Responsibilities
Prepare operating rooms with necessary surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and other sterile supplies.
Maintain sterile fields and ensure strict adherence to infection control standards.
Perform counts of sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures.
Inspect, clean, and properly store surgical instruments after use.
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other team members to provide optimal patient care.
Qualifications
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required.
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
Minimum of 1 year of OR experience preferred, but new graduates may be considered.
Knowledge of sterile technique, surgical procedures, and operating room protocols.
Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills.
Ability to stand for long periods and handle physically demanding tasks.
