Resort Worker

Reports to 

Assistant General Manager

Job Description 

Resort workers are responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance to protect the assets of the resort and to keep the resort running smoothly. Ensures a safe, quality resort experience that improves guest satisfaction.    

Essential Functions

Duties Include: 

1. Greet all guests upon arrival, distribute towels, offer assistance, and deliver consistent guest service, exceeding guest expectations  
2. Issue beach chairs and umbrellas to guests  
3. Maintain cleanliness of pool deck and facilities including straightening and stocking chairs, collecting soiled towels and trash, moving chairs, and umbrellas  
4. Ensure that the beach storage unit is properly maintained  
5. Monitor inventory of beach supplies daily  
6. Report equipment and supply deficiencies  
7. Fold fresh towels  
8. Secure chairs and umbrellas  
9. Promote positive guest relations for all guests by providing prompt, courteous and efficient service  
10. All guests must be treated in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strive to exceed guests’ expectations 
11. Perform other duties as directed  
12. Weekly attendance to Aloha Culture Meetings

This position has no supervisory responsibility. 

Work Environment 

This position operates in indoors and outdoors in a hotel setting. This role requires good physical resilience and ability to work at a high pace while standing throughout the day. 

Physical Demands 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching. This position may require employee to work outside in all inclement/extreme conditions. The position may require lifting of products weighing up to 75 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 

This is a full-time position. This role requires forty, plus hours to include nights weekends and holidays. 

Travel 

1. No travel is expected for this position. 
2. Required Education and Experience 
3. High school diploma, or equivalent. 
4. Prior Maintenance experience.
