Part Time Project Manager

Rapid Strategy, an award-winning African-American owned small business, is seeking a part-time IT Project Manager to oversee and drive various IT projects. We specialize in providing cybersecurity services to clients across both the private and public sectors. Based in Charlotte, NC, we support our clients throughout North Carolina and the DMV area. Position Overview: This position is a remote role. The successful candidate must complete a federally mandated criminal history background check within 30 days of hire.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, cybersecurity, and client stakeholders, to define project goals, objectives, and deliverables.

• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules, and track progress against these benchmarks.

• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management regularly.

• Coordinate with team members and vendors to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.

• Manage project documentation, including requirements, specifications, and testing plans.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

• Facilitate project meetings, create status reports, and maintain project documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information technology, computer science, project management, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on technology and cybersecurity projects.

• PMP, CAPM, or similar project management certification is a plus.

• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

• Experience managing cross-functional teams and working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar platforms.

• U.S. citizenship is required.
