McGee’s 72 is seeking experienced prep cook to join our kitchen team.

This position plays a key role in preparing the kitchen for a successful day of service. The Prep Cook is responsible for completing daily prep lists, organizing ingredients, and ensuring stations are fully stocked before lunch and dinner service begin.

We are looking for someone who works efficiently, stays organized, and takes pride in setting the kitchen up for success.

Shift: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Core Responsibilities

• Complete daily prep lists with accuracy and efficiency
• Perform knife work, portioning, and batch preparation
• Prepare sauces, proteins, vegetables, and other core menu components
• Organize and restock line stations prior to service
• Label, date, and properly store all prepared items
• Maintain a clean and organized prep and storage area
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and kitchen standards
• Communicate with the Kitchen Manager regarding prep levels and product needs

The prep cook helps determine how smoothly service runs later in the day, making this a critical role in the kitchen.

What We’re Looking For

• Prior kitchen or prep cook experience required
• Strong knife skills and understanding of kitchen fundamentals
• Ability to work independently and stay productive throughout the shift
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to move with urgency while maintaining consistency
• Reliable and punctual
• ServSafe certification preferred.
