Housekeeper/Laundry Aide

Quantum Rehabilitation and Nursing located in Middle Island, NY is looking for a Full-time Housekeeper/Laundry Aide.

The Laundry & Linen Aide is responsible to collect, process, launder and deliver linens to resident rooms.

Responsibilities:

• Wash, dry, pack and label all linens/resident clothing

• Fold clean linens/resident clothing after washing and drying.

• Keep on record of all linen/resident clothing on a daily basis

• Clean the washing machine and dryers on a daily basis

• Perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping department in accordance with State, Federal, Health and Company standards.

• Must follow instructions by the Director of Housekeeping Services, to ensure that the facility is maintained in a safe manner.

• Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, in restrooms, recreational areas, etc., daily as instructed.

• Discard waste/trash in proper containers and reline trash receptacles with a plastic liner.

• Must be able to lift 40-50 pounds.

• Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as possible

Ability to lift 50 pounds

Job Type: Full-time (Union position)

Salary: $18.93 per hour
