The Kitchen Steward is responsible for washing dishes, pots, utensils and other items to ensure their cleanliness.  The Kitchen Steward is also responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customers.  

  • Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with co-workers.
  • Inspects, removes, and properly stores all clean items from the dishwashing machine.
  • Washes steam kettles, tilt fryers, and food preparation equipment too large to put in dishwashing machines.
  • Supplies dishware to food preparation stations as needed; removes soiled dishware and cooking equipment from food preparation stations.
  • Keeps work area (floor, machine, shelving, carts, etc.) clean at all times.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties, such as polishing silver, working in the storeroom and preparing for special events, etc., as assigned. 
  • Operates in a working environment that is subject to varying levels of cold, heat, noise and vibration; team member is subject to hazards such as wet floors; proper precautions are taken.
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently move around the work area.
  • Ability to stand for the majority of shift.
  • Must be able to inspect all work performed.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, squat, and carry loads of up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to sort all silverware as needed.
