Laundry Attendant
Primary Responsibilities

Wash and dry laundry
- Operate washers and dryers for linens, towels, bedding, and uniforms
- Sort items by fabric type, color, and cleaning requirements

Fold and organize
- Fold towels, sheets, pillowcases, and other items neatly
- Stack and store clean laundry in designated areas

Inspect linens
- Check for stains, damage, or wear
- Remove damaged items from circulation and report issues

Maintain laundry equipment
- Use machines properly and safely
- Report malfunctions or maintenance needs

Deliver linens
- Transport clean laundry to housekeeping or storage areas
- Collect dirty linens from floors or designated collection points
- Follow hotel sanitation and hygiene standards
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and correctly
- Keep laundry area clean and organized
- Follow workplace safety procedures
- Attention to detail (spotting stains, proper folding)
- Time management and efficiency
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of laundry processes and chemicals
- Physical stamina (lifting, standing, repetitive motion)
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not always required)
- Previous laundry, housekeeping, or hospitality experience (helpful but not required)
- Ability to lift 20–50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Laundry room within a hotel (warm, humid environment)
- Fast-paced during peak turnover times
- Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to work alone
- Assisting housekeeping staff
- Handling guest laundry services
- Tracking linen inventory
- Supporting other back-of-house operations
