Mail Clerk III
Essential Functions:
Responsibilities:
To represent Goodwill Industries at the worksite. To ensure that all work is performed to contract specifications.
1. To sort and route incoming mail, whether received through USPS, another carrier or through interoffice mail.
2. To receive and safeguards incoming checks, money orders, drafts, etc. with or without correspondence.
3. To receive daily all sorts, routes, and records, by receipt and prepares all outgoing highspeed delivery mail and packages.
4. To possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and to be insurable by the Company’s automotive insurance carrier. Must obey all traffic/safety laws.
5. Must have complete knowledge of the statement of work and assume supervisory duties in the absence of the mailroom supervisor.

1. Must be able to interact cordially and productively with a variety of people.
2. Must be able to market Goodwill and explain the mission to the general public.
3. Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with, and among, contract personnel.
4. Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
5. Must be able to work a flexible schedule on short notice, including nights and weekends, and occasionally, long or extended hours.
6. Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 70 #s frequently and 50 #s occasionally.
7. Must be able to engage in prolonged standing, walking and in frequent bending, stooping, and stretching and climbing stairs.
8. Must be able to function in a hectic work environment with occasional periods of high stress.
Requirements:
Two years of experience in the mailroom field, with two years of supervisory experience required. Must wear company issued uniforms and safety shoes.
Working Conditions:
Frequent physical exertion, exposure to cleaning chemicals, fumes from buffing machines and potentially infectious materials. Frequent exposure to the elements.
