Rubicon Organics’ mission is to grow the best cannabis on earth and for the earth and today we are doing just that out of our state-of-the art greenhouse facility located in Delta, B.C. We are growing and expanding quickly while on our journey to achieving our vision to be the global brand leader in organic cannabis.
We need an experienced Manager of People & Culture to support our Delta site operations and potential second location; working closely with the Operations leadership team. Purpose of the Manager, People & Culture

Responsibilities:
Lead Performance Management & Employee Relations: Demonstrate proven success in managing performance, addressing employee relations, and providing expert advice and coaching to senior leaders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Build a Talent Pipeline: Connect with top talent, sharing our story and brand to attract candidates who align with our mission and values. Build strong relationships that extend beyond recruitment.
Recruitment Excellence: Own the entire recruitment process, from sourcing to hiring, ensuring that we’re recruiting the best talent to meet both current and future organizational needs. Deliver an exceptional and seamless candidate experience every time.
Onboarding & Performance Reviews: Own the onboarding process, ensuring new hires feel welcomed and empowered from day one. Additionally, support the delivery of performance reviews that drive growth and development across teams.
Policy Development & Maintenance: Proactively establish and update HR policies that support our business needs, maintaining compliance and fostering a positive workplace environment.
Support to People Team: Work alongside our Immigration Specialist to ensure smooth immigration processes for temporary foreign workers. Support benefits administration and provide insightful people analytics, ensuring accuracy and supporting decision-making for both hourly and salaried employees.
Culture & Leadership Support: Act as a trusted advisor to the Leadership team, providing strategic HR guidance on initiatives that enhance company culture and keep our workforce engaged, motivated, and aligned with our core values.
Special Projects & Initiatives: Collaborate with the VP of People on various projects that contribute to the growth and success of the business, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of HR experience, ideally within a fast-paced, start-up environment with demonstrated experience in managing teams.
- Comfortable and confident in implementing People strategies at the site level, with a strong ability to influence change
- Innovative problem-solving mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
- Proven success with diverse recruitment methods and a strong understanding of talent acquisition.
- Deep passion for company culture, with a commitment to hiring individuals who embody the company’s values and high standards.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships and gain trust from all stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen ability to juggle both high-level strategy and intricate details. Must be highly proactive.
- Proven experience in process implementation and driving operational efficiency.
- A commitment to personal and professional development, with a desire to grow into a more senior role within the organization.
- Experience in supporting multiple sites or locations is an asset.
This position will report to the VP People and will be based in Delta BC.
