Sleep Technologist Trainee
Established and rapidly growing healthcare practice in Alaska seeks Polysomnographic Technologist trainee to join its team of dedicated healthcare professionals.
Under the general supervision of the Medical Director, sleep technologist will perform diagnostic and titration polysomnography, multiple sleep latency tests, maintenance of wakefulness tests, and home sleep apnea tests. In addition, sleep technologist will be responsible for initiating and monitoring PAP therapy.
Work Hours: Variable
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR or BCLS certification
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills; proficient computer skills
• Effective customer service skills; social skills; and age-specific and cultural competencies
This position requires certain tests and milestones to be met within the training program guidelines
This position requires candidate to work collaboratively with the healthcare team to assess, coordinate and implement patient care; to communicate effectively with the Medical Director, referring physician, other sleep technologists and technicians, and administrative staff; and to ensure continuity of care for the patient so that the patient's medical needs are met.
This Position may require travel between Anchorage and Wasilla offices
