Assistant Production Planner

We are looking for an Assistant Production Planner to join our Jokey North America team!

The Jokey Group consists of 14 production sites in 11 countries, employing over 2,300 employees and supplying customers in over 80 countries. We manufacture high quality injection moulded plastic buckets and lids for food and non-food items.  Using monoplastics, we aim to decrease our environmental impact, and strengthen our contributions towards the development of a sustainable and circular economy.

Our facility is located in Goderich, Ontario. Office hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm EST.

POSITION RESPONSABILITES:

• Support in analyzing, coordinating and scheduling production (injection, printing, and sonic welding departments) to ensure timely deliveries to customers and proper inventory levels; 
• Verifying order completion in ERP;
• Managing min max inventory quantities;
• Daily checks on the floor to confirm correct order sequence, qty, and reporting on any upcoming concerns;
• Help facilitate meetings, and run meetings where necessary;
• Liaise with various departments on project status and changes, reporting all activity to production planner;
• Liaise with various plants on project status and changes, reporting all activity to production planner;
• Other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 2 years experience in Manufacturing
• Diploma or degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration an asset
• Strong computer skills including MS Office
• Experience implementing and utilizing MRP software
• Understand FIFO systems
• Understands productions processes
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Ability to problem solve
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
