We are on a swift growth trajectory with our expansive higher education partnerships, including institutions like Miami University, Duke University, and Syracuse University. Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing & e-Commerce and in close communication with the executive team, your creativity, analytical strength, and strategic acumen will have a visible and vital impact on the company’s market share growth. At eCampus.com, every click, campaign, and strategy you lead will be a step towards our collective success in the competitive e-commerce arena. This position is currently remote combined with regular appearances in our Lexington, KY offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies to drive traffic, customer acquisition, and revenue growth for eCampus.com and its sub-brands.
- Lead and manage the overall e-commerce operations, ensuring an exceptional user experience, high conversion rates, and seamless transactions.
- Utilize strong UI/UX skills to continuously improve the customer experience.
- Oversee and optimize the performance of various digital marketing channels, including search engine marketing (SEM), search engine optimization (SEO), email marketing, social media marketing, affiliate marketing, and display advertising.
- Work closely with the IT department to strategize and implement website development projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and design, IT, and online bookstore operations to drive effective digital marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, such as website traffic, conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and ROI, to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor data, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital marketing and e-commerce, and proactively recommend innovative strategies and tactics.
- Develop semi-annual strategic marketing plans and manage all aspects of plan implementation including budgetary responsibilities.
- Collaborate with Senior Marketing Director to maintain a strong brand presence across digital platforms, ensuring consistent messaging, brand positioning, and visual identity.
- Implement effective customer segmentation, targeting, and personalization strategies with the ESP to enhance the customer experience and drive customer loyalty.
- Lead and develop a high-performing digital marketing and e-commerce team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to drive individual and team success.
- Oversee reporting to supplement day-to-day business operations.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
- Minimum five years leadership experience managing a team
- Reside in Eastern Time Zone
- Strong UI/UX background preferred
- Proven experience in digital marketing, e-commerce, or a related role, preferably in the retail or e-commerce industry
- “Can do” attitude with an aptitude for thriving under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge and expertise in various digital marketing channels, including SEM, SEO, email marketing, affiliate marketing, and display advertising
- Demonstrated experience in managing and optimizing e-commerce platforms, driving revenue growth, and improving conversion rates
- Proficient in using digital marketing and e-commerce tools, platforms, and analytics software
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions
- Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
- Results-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets and goals
- Experience with SendGrid and Listrak ESP platforms preferred
- Working knowledge of GA4, Google Ads, G Suite, Microsoft Office, Meta Ads
