Director of Therapeutic Recreation (Full-Time)

Lynbrook Restorative Therapy & Nursing is urgently seeking a Director of Therapeutic Recreation.

A positive attitude and energy are a must!

Experience with activities in a healthcare setting, must have experience working with residents with Alzheimer's dementia and /or Short-Term Rehab.

• Music talent a plus.
• Must relate well with the residents and facility staff as well as exhibit a desire to perform all responsibilities of this position.

Responsibilities Include:

• Oversee the day-to-day activities of the recreation program.
• Develop program calendars and activity plans with staff.

Requirements:

• Excellent leadership, communication, supervisory and team-building skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field desired.
• Ability to use a computer and input data.
• 2+ years experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility or healthcare setting.
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Therapist or a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
