Position Overview: 

The Head of Business Transformation will be responsible for driving a comprehensive transformation strategy and successful execution across the organization. This individual will lead efforts to streamline and optimize our operations, enhance business processes, and create a scalable, robust business architecture. The goal is to ensure that Rubicon Organics is strategically positioned to achieve double its current size in terms of revenue, market reach, and operational efficiency. 

As the Head of Business Transformation, you will work closely with senior leadership teams to deliver the company’s vision and business goals, and implement transformational initiatives across all areas of the business. You will oversee the identification, design, and execution of key process improvements, system integrations, and business model evolutions that support and accelerate our growth aspirations. 

Success in this role will require an experienced, holistic, and big-picture approach to transformation while also being able to go hands-on with project execution and cross-company alignment.  In addition to providing advice and guidance to business leaders and initiative owners, this leader will need to leverage their strong cognitive, emotional, and moral intelligence in a dynamic environment. 

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this leader will work in a hybrid capacity and build a strong rapport with other business and functional leaders.  


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop the roadmap, align with the executive team, and implement a comprehensive business transformation strategy to position Rubicon Organics for significant growth aligned to the strategic vision as outlined by the CEO. 

  • Lead cross-functional teams in driving large-scale business transformations that support operational excellence and organizational scaling.   

  • Lead organizational change initiatives, ensuring that teams are well-equipped to adapt to new processes, systems, and strategies. 

  • Evaluate and redesign the company’s existing business architecture, including technology infrastructure, workflows, and processes, to support efficiency, growth and scalability. 

  • Foster a culture of continuous innovation and improvement across the organization.  Introduce data-driven approaches for process measurement, monitoring, and continuous improvement. 

  • Provide regular updates to the C-suite executives, board, and other stakeholders on progress, challenges, and opportunities related to business transformation. 

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business transformation and operational scaling. 

  • Recommend and implement innovative solutions to ensure that Rubicon Organics remains at the forefront of its industry. 


Qualifications: 

Experience: 

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in business transformation, operational excellence, or related leadership roles within fast-growing organizations. 

  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams through large-scale transformation initiatives, ideally in a high-growth or scaling environment. 

  • Experience in designing and implementing scalable business architectures and systems that enable growth. 

 

Skills & Competencies: 

  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to drive and influence change at all levels of the organization. 

  • Deep understanding of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and change management principles. 

  • Expertise in technology and systems integration, with a focus on future-proofing business operations. 

  • Ideally, experience in scaling in a manufacturing, agricultural, and/or FMCPG environment. 

  • Strong analytical skills, with a track record of using data to drive decision-making and business performance. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with senior stakeholders and external partners.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
