Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) – 13 Week Contract | 3010630

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in a hospital-based IR department. This role is ideal for nurses with procedural experience who are comfortable with conscious sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, and assisting with minimally invasive vascular and interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-procedure assessments including review of labs, allergies, and medical history
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures and post-care expectations
• Assist physicians during interventional procedures such as angiograms, stent placements, biopsies, embolizations, and catheter insertions
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation and pain management medications
• Continuously monitor vital signs and hemodynamic status during procedures
• Provide post-procedure recovery care and monitor for complications
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
• Adhere to sterile technique and infection prevention standards

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state or compact as applicable)
• Minimum 2+ years of recent nursing experience required
• Prior experience in Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab, ICU, or procedural settings required
• Experience with conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring required
• Strong clinical assessment and emergency response skills

Required Certifications

• BLS required
• ACLS required
• CRN preferred (not required unless facility mandates)

Contract Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 4×10-hour shifts or 5×8-hour shifts (based on facility needs)
• Employment Type: Contract (not permanent)
