Job Title: Office Administrator 

Job Location: Elkridge, MD

Pay: $14-$16/hour

Duration: Permanent Full-Time Employee (40 Hour Week Monday-Friday)

Type of Hire: Temporary with the potential to go permanent

Hours: 9AM-6PM or 10AM-7PM

Start Date: ASAP

 

 *Must be comfortable around dogs, as this is a K9 training, daycare, and boarding facility*

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual to provide administrative support, as well as sales support to aid in the development of our continuously growing training programs. The core of this position will be focused on (but not limited to) answering and responding to calls/emails, performing clerical duties including filing, and turning training inquiries into sales. Qualified candidates will have impeccable verbal and written communication skills, and a strong ability to multitask while staying organized with minimal supervision.

Primary Responsibilities: 

·         Answering & Responding to calls/emails

·         Explaining and recommending services offered by organization

·         Create ads for upcoming training classes on Social Media platforms

·         Turning training inquiries into sales

·         Up-sell additional goods/services to existing clients and train/oversee training of staff with regard to sales and up-selling

·         Attend weekly management meetings and bi-monthly staff meetings

·         Provide customer service to training clients

·         Implement community outreach & networking (vet offices, pet stores, schools, churches, etc.)

·         Handling all paperwork and filing for organization

·         Updating client database on a daily basis

·         Schedule training plans and collect payment from training clients

·         Providing calendar updates to staff on bookings and appointments

·         Maintain and update training class rosters on a weekly basis

·         Make follow up calls and emails to clients who have not attended training classes

·         Provide Front Desk Office Admin with purchases clients have made in training class in order for front desk to invoice clients

·         Set up new client training class folders / data entry of new client folders / filing client folders

 Required Skillset:

·         Strong administrative background

·         Marketing and Sales experience

·         Knowledge of word processing applications

·         Ability to create and manage spreadsheets

·         Comfortable using electronic calendars and Point of Sale Systems

·         Requires a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

·         Independent worker

·         Ability to work in fast-paced and loud environment

·         Must be comfortable working with dogs on a daily basis
