Langs is currently seeking a Charter Bus Co-Ordinator & Dispatch to join our team in the Lambton region. This position may be based out of our Sarnia or Petrolia branch, depending on operational needs.

 

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Charter Coordinator & Dispatch plays an important role in supporting daily branch operations by coordinating charter transportation services and assisting with driver scheduling. This role requires strong organizational ability, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include:

Coordinate charter transportation requests from schools and community organizations.

Prepare charter quotes and confirm trip details including destination, mileage, passenger counts, and accessibility needs.

Book charter trips and maintain accurate records within the BusHive system.

Assign drivers and vehicles for charter trips and confirm trip arrangements.

Coordinate driver coverage for absences and support dispatch operations as needed.

Track driver hours related to charter work and assist with payroll reporting.

Communicate clearly with clients, drivers, and internal staff regarding trip details and service expectations.

Support general operational and administrative activities at the branch.

 

WHAT WE NEED

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Experience in scheduling, dispatch, transportation operations, or customer service preferred.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook.

Experience with transportation scheduling systems such as BusHive or BusPlanner is considered an asset.

Valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence required (Class B licence or willingness to obtain considered an asset).
