Purpose:

Responsible for advancing Messenger International’s vision by executing and managing email and SMS marketing campaigns across multiple brands, ensuring timely delivery, strong engagement, and alignment with established marketing strategies and brand voice.

 

Primary Outcomes:

·       Build, schedule, and deliver email and SMS campaigns across all active brands with consistent quality and voice alignment

·       Smooth, proactive, and efficient cross-functional coordination with content writers, designers, platform engineers, and brand stakeholders

·       Support and improve campaign performance, deliverability, and automation workflows through consistent execution, monitoring, hygiene, and reporting

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

·      Coordinate and maintain the email marketing calendar in alignment with direction from the Director of Marketing and brand stakeholders

·       Manage assigned brand lists, including timely communication and coordination with internal stakeholders

·       Provide additional hands-on and responsive support for highly engaged brand owners

·       Collaborate with content writers to develop and refine email and SMS copy that aligns with brand voice and messaging frameworks ensuring copy does not drift into generic or off-brand messaging

·       Coordinate with designers to request and manage visual assets needed for campaigns and templates

·       Work with the platform engineer to support audience segmentation, list management, and deliverability

·       Build, schedule, and execute email campaigns within established strategy across multiple brand lists

·       Identify opportunities to pair SMS messaging with email campaigns based on campaign priorities, expected impact, and ROI potential

·       Manage the ongoing health and performance of all active email automations, including welcome sequences, nurture flows, re-engagement campaigns, and abandoned cart flows

·       Conduct routine audits of automations to ensure accuracy, functionality, and current content

·       Support ongoing list hygiene and ensure proper implementation of authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) in coordination with technical partners

·       Monitor campaign execution and performance metrics including deliverability, engagement, and list health and flag issues as needed

·       Execute A/B testing on subject lines and messaging and compile results for performance tracking

·       Compile and distribute recurring performance reports, highlighting key metrics and observable trends

·       Monitor campaigns for errors (e.g., broken links, formatting issues, scheduling errors) and resolve issues promptly

·       Maintain documentation and processes related to email and SMS workflows to support consistency and scalability

·       Other related work, as assigned

 

Education and/or Experience: 

·       Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

·       3+ years of hands-on email marketing experience managing multi-brand or multi-segment campaign programs

·       Demonstrated professional experience with email marketing platforms (Klaviyo preferred; strong experience with Mailchimp, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, or similar ESPs will be considered)

 

General Qualifications:

·       Strong copywriting instincts with the ability to write compelling subject lines and body copy across multiple distinct brand voices

·       Proven experience with A/B testing, audience segmentation, and email performance reporting

·       Experience with SMS marketing platforms (Emotive or similar) preferred

·       Familiarity with ecommerce email flows, Shopify integration, and donation or giving campaign structures preferred

·       Understanding of email deliverability mechanics including domain reputation, authentication protocols, and mailbox provider behavior

·       Strong collaboration and communication skills when working with cross-functional teams including content writers, designers, platform engineers, and brand stakeholders

·       Ability to manage multiple brand calendars and competing priorities while maintaining execution quality

·       Attention to detail, documentation, and process discipline in audience-facing communications

·       Ability to exercise independent professional judgment in prioritizing tasks, managing timelines, and adapting to shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment

Work Location:
Nashville, Tennessee area. Must be able to present evidence of identity and legal right to work in the United States.

 

Job Type/Schedule:

Full-time, 40-hour work week with the potential for occasional overtime. This is a non-exempt position and is subject to overtime pay in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

 

Pay:

This role has a salary range of $28.00 - $33.00 / hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
