Equal Justice Works Crime Victims Justice Corps
Legal Services of North Florida is hiring a law student intern to assist our Equal Justice Works Crime Victims Justice Corp Fellow to provide civil legal assistance to victims and survivors of human trafficking in our Tallahassee office. The Equal Justice Works Crime Victims Justice Corps is an initiative designed to increase access to civil legal assistance and enforce the rights of crime victims. The Equal Justice Works Crime Victims Justice Corps Legal Intern will receive $15/hour for 8 or 10 weeks, 35 hours per week, between the months of May and August.
Responsibilities and duties include conducting legal research and writing; assisting the supervising attorney to conduct screenings, client intake and client interviews and attending client meetings; attending court appearances with supervising attorney; assisting in preparing human trafficking legal education trainings; attending or participating in inter-disciplinary service providers meetings and community outreach events; and performing other related duties as assigned.
