Transportation Assistant / Driver - Variable (PRN)
Summary
Under the supervision of the
Administrator / Transportation Coordinator:
- Provides safe and timely transportation of residents and tenants
- Transports individuals with physical disabilities / wheelchairs and assists
these individuals safely in and out of the vehicle and to and from the off-site
destination location(s)
- Receives and delivers confidential information / communications between
the care center and community providers
- Represents and promotes the care center in a positive manner throughout the community and to other health care practitioners
Qualifications / Requirements
- Must have a current, valid Iowa
driver's license of the appropriate classification and with the required
endorsements (passenger) for the vehicle to be driven (Class D / Chauffeur's
License or Class C / Commercial License)
- Must pass a motor vehicle record check
- Must have and maintain an unrestricted license and driving record free of
serious violations
- Excellent customer service and time management skills
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
- Per the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exceptions for medical and religious accommodations when reasonable
Additional Information
Job Type: Variable (PRN)
Shift/Schedule: On-Call, Flexible Scheduling
Wage Range*: $12.00/hr-$13.50/hr, Negotiable (DOE)
Years of Experience Incentive Pay: $0.15/per year, up to ten (10) years
