A064_Youth Ministry Coordinator
Cameo Consulting Group, LLC a management consulting practice based out of Alexandria, VA, is seeking several qualified and available Youth Ministry Coordinators to support a prospective Federal client in Texas within the following cities: Fort Sam Houston TX, Randolph TX, and Lackland TX. The positions are full-time, long-term, and available upon contract award.
SCOPE: The Youth Ministry Coordinator (YMC) shall coordinate and provide spiritually based peer group experiences and ministry for middle school and high school youth, in close coordination with the Director of Religious Education.
TASKS AND DUTIES:
· The YMC shall articulate and actively promote programs and activities.
· Develop an annual marketing plan to include activities, promotion, and advertising.
· Submit proposed flyers, handouts, parent correspondence and bulletin announcements for review.
· Conduct a minimum of 38 weekly meetings for Middle School and 38 meetings for High School youth during the calendar year.
· Collaboratively plan and conduct monthly JBSA-coordinated events or activities to promote individual growth or Christian discipleship for youth.
· Plan and coordinate one (1) annual weekend retreat, providing youth the opportunity to gather for fun, fellowship and faith sharing.
· Develop and facilitate a summer youth camp or camp experience.
· Participate in the Vacation Bible Schools (VBS) across JBSA.
· Keep an updated roster of participants and parent contact information.
· Provide an annual review of the program.
· Shall provide input for youth ministry in the Annual Ministry Plan, to include programs needs and projected costs.
· Mentor volunteers on the various aspects of youth ministry throughout the year.
· Help volunteers become comfortable in youth ministry and coaching them in developing the skills and confidence to be effective volunteers.
· Manage all data created for Government use or legally controlled by the Government, in support of the functional activity or required by AF publication.
· Provide a weekly report to the Installation DRE detailing attendance, contract work, volunteer involvement and activities.
· Maintain a current continuity binder.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· The YMC shall have specific training in youth work with a minimum of 1 year of experience in youth ministry.
· A Bachelor’s degree with a focus of Youth Ministry and/or Religious Education concentration (preferred)
· YMC shall be required to complete pertinent annual training to include Cyber Awareness, Antiterrorism, and child suitability training provided by the chapel staff and listed in the Chapel SOP.
· Must successfully complete a federally mandated criminal history background check.
