ABOUT THE ROLE


Lois Law Firm is seeking a New York-Barred Attorney to join our growing litigation practice, where you will defend some of America's most iconic employers in New York workers' compensation actions. This role requires a willingness to stand up for your clients, to be an advocate, and to ensure a fair court process for all parties. You will have significant client contact and opportunities to present creative strategies in court. 


QUALIFICATIONS


The qualified applicant is a New York-Barred Attorney with a passion for litigating and a desire to dominate a specialist niche.


  • New York bar in good standing is required.
  • Litigation and trial experience preferred.
  • Successful candidates must be ambitious and driven, possess a strong work ethic and have good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

CLEAR COMPENSATION


At LOIS, base compensation for attorneys begins at $120,000 with clear fixed bonuses in place. We set an annual billable budget based on your preferences, beginning at 1,852 per year.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Represent client interests at virtual hearings and telephonic depositions;
  • Counsel clients on emerging issues in litigated matters;
  • Prepare exposure analysis and conduct settlement negotiations;
  • Consistently apply firm standards and tactics to achieve client goals.
