Kansas City Christian School is seeking a qualified long-term substitute teacher to cover maternity leave for our high school English department, beginning the first week of March through May (end of school year).
This position involves covering for Junior Literature, Senior Language, AP Literature and monitoring students in their online dual credit English course. A candidate would follow established curriculum and lesson plans provided by the current English teacher in order to help maintain continuity of instruction during the regular teacher’s absence.
What we are looking for:
- Provide English instruction aligned with the curriculum and lesson plans provided by the regular teacher
- Be able to grade student work, maintain grade records, take attendance, and provide feedback to student as needed
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Participate in staff meetings as needed
- Commitment to the full assignment period
- Committed Christian and in agreement with our statement of faith
