About the Role

As a Design Engineer I, you will support the planning, design, and execution of land development engineering projects. This entry‑level role is ideal for individuals eager to build a strong technical foundation, contribute to meaningful projects, and learn from experienced engineers. You will assist in preparing construction plans, performing engineering calculations, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure project success.

What You Will Do:

• Perform engineering calculations for land development projects.
• Prepare construction plans, site plans, utility networks, grading, and surface designs.
• Communicate effectively with internal team members and external partners.
• Assist in preparing designs in accordance with established engineering principles.
• Contribute to drawings, specifications, bidding documents, and cost estimates.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team on large engineering and construction projects.
• Assist in preparing project drainage reports and stormwater management designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; EIT required.
• Exceptional communication, organization, multi‑tasking, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent time management abilities.
• Experience with Civil 3D or AutoCAD.
• Enjoy working in a team‑oriented environment.
• Aptitude to learn new tasks and apply new skills.
• Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong sense of urgency and initiative to meet client deadlines.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently required to sit, talk, hear, stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds.

The Position:

The Design Engineer I position is a full‑time, 40‑hour‑per‑week, salaried‑exempt role working onsite with flexible and hybrid work schedule options.

The salary range for this role is: $66,600–$77,400 (commensurate with experience)
