Prairie AG Center is a multi-line agriculture and construction machinery dealership group with locations in Lloydminster, Vegreville, and North Battleford. Our Lloydminster, Alberta location currently accepts resumes for an energetic, confident, outgoing Territory Manager, Application Equipment.

This Full-Time Position offers a Salary, Commission Structure, Company Vehicle, RRSP, Vacation, and benefit Coverage.
The successful candidate will be a team player and work collaboratively with the parts, service, and administration departments to meet customer expectations. We will give preference to individuals with previous experience in agricultural and construction equipment sales or with a machinery sales background and enthusiasm for the agriculture and construction industry.
Position Responsibilities:
- Travel to customers' locations within the designated territory to meet with them, understand their needs, and educate them about our equipment and solutions.
- Deeply understand the agricultural industry, develop trust and valued relationships with farmers, and establish relationships with potential customers.
- Identifies and prioritizes new client opportunities and sales potential for the result of growing business; coordinates actions to enhance market penetration.
- Networking with farmers and potential customers.
- Prospect potential customers using various direct methods such as cold-calling, face-to-face meetings, networking, phone calls, and other sources.
- Communicate proactively with all customers monthly to strengthen and expand relationships.
- Complete weekly sales reports, ensuring the targets are met.
- Collaborate with internal teams to overcome obstacles with customers and accounts to assist in closing business
- New business development in the set territories.
- Serves as the subject matter expert (trusted advisor) for our products, services, and strategies, as well as those of competitors, to become an expert in providing solutions to problems, retaining existing customers, and attracting new customers.
- Ownership of accounts and a self-starter, driven and motivated to work independently with little oversight.
- Use the company sales tools to effectively manage accounts, opportunities, pipelines, and forecasts accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain awareness of competitor and industry activities; Introduce new products and services as available.
Minimum Requirements/ Qualifications:
- Understanding of farming and agronomic trends associated with agriculture.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Willingness to travel in the territory and frequent visits to clients and potential customers.
- Prior sales experience is an asset.
- Strong development skills with a focus on building new businesses.
- Minimum three years of machinery sales experience, agriculture or construction machinery preferred.
- Proven track record in prospecting, qualifying, and closing accounts over the phone and in person.
- Class 5 driver’s clean driver abstract required.
Education:
- Completing a post-secondary degree in business, marketing, sales, technical colleges, and agriculture would be considered an asset.
