Position Title: K-Kids Attendant
Reports to: K-Kids Program Manager
Job Summary: The K-Kids Attendant is a vital member of the team with the goal of
providing excellent care for children from the ages of 5 -12+. Under the
guidance of the Program Manager, he/she will be responsible for direct
supervision of children, implementation of planned daily activities, and
maintenance of the program environment, equipment and supplies. He/she
will make every effort to develop and foster a positive relationship with the
children and their parents.
Job Responsibilities and Standards:
The following description of job responsibilities and standards are intended to reflect the essential
functions of the position. This outline does not detail every aspect of the position and there may be
other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Job Specifics:
â— Lead and participate in games, sports, crafts and various activities to actively engage
children.
â— Always supervise children to ensure their safety while fostering a fun and engaging play and
learning environment.
â— Be responsible for the safety and well-being of each child in his/her group. One K-Kids
Attendant should always be present to supervise the group; no child/children should be left
unsupervised or unaccounted for.
â— Serve as a good example, showing enthusiasm in actions and spirit, while maintaining an
appropriate level of professionalism at all times.
â— Maintain a physical environment (indoors and outdoors) which is safe, healthy, neat,
attractive, clean, and appropriate for children and is conducive to having fun.
â— Complete all records and forms timely, accurately, and neatly, including daily health checks.
â— Be knowledgeable of and willing to reinforce new Covid-19 safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
◠Valid U.S. Driver’s License
â— Must have childcare experience
â— Must be CPR / First Aid / Lifeguard certified* - Company may provide training/certification
if necessary
â— College degree preferred
Customer Service Responsibility:
â— Ensures that the club's customer service standards are maintained at an exceptional level.
â— Presents self in a professional manner including appearance, identification, and general
communication and conduct at all times.
â— Makes a positive contribution to the work environment through presentation of positive
attitude, demonstration of cooperation and teamwork, and constructive approach to daily
events.
◠Listens effectively, responds to guests’ requests in a friendly “can do†manner.
Dependability:
â— Attendance: Adheres to established schedule of work hours. Follows established
procedures for early notification to supervisor when unable to report to work. Call a
manager 30 minutes before shift starts to avoid an improper call in.
â— Punctuality: Arrives to work at scheduled times and works until authorized to leave.
â— Attends all mandatory education/in-service programs and demonstrates understanding of
responsibilities through appropriate actions.
â— Demonstrates effective communication by utilizing positive verbal and non-verbal skills in
all interactions.
â— Must be able to work a flexible schedule and extra hours when needed.
Safety:
â— Demonstrates adherence to the club's safe practice procedures and makes recommendations
to improve safety. Reports any unsafe work practices to the supervisor.
â— Consistently utilizes proper body mechanics in performance of responsibilities, as evidenced
by supervisor’s observation and no injury to self or others due to improper work habits.
â— Follow proper reporting procedures when injured at work. Is aware of the location of
material safety data sheets and refers to them when necessary.
Physical and Mental Requirements of the Job:
â— Must be able to swim and be comfortable in both pool and ocean settings
â— Must have a desire to work with children
â— Must be willing to drive children in company vehicles (golf carts or SUVs) to and from
various activities both on and off property
â— Hawaiian language and cultural knowledge a plus
Other Duties:
â— Assist with any special project as assigned by management.
â— Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary
