Warehouse Lead

Title: Warehouse Lead

Reports to: General Manager

Job Description:

The Warehouse Lead has all of the responsibilities of an Operator but is the Supervisor’s go-to associate. The Warehouse Lead must have good overall knowledge of all customers’ freight and must be consistently setting a good example in the work place.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to lead several loading and unloading teams

• Ensure inventory is accurate

• Plan for inbound/outbound shipments

• Fill in for Supervisor as needed

• Loading, unloading, and putting away materials to/from railcars, vans, flatbeds, and trailers

• Maintain clean work environment

• Follow all safety regulations and company guidelines

• Work as a team to complete tasks

• Scanning inbound and outbound freight

• Follow all PPE requirements

• Repairing bundles

• Stacking inventory by hand

Requirements:

• 6 – 10 years forklift experience preferred

• Basic knowledge and use of Microsoft programs

• Basic knowledge of Warehouse Management System

• Knowledge of all customer accounts

• Proven ability to operate all equipment

• Dependable

• Subject matter expert in at least one customer account

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to work in the elements

• Ability to communicate effectively and direct a small group

• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs

• Detailed oriented

Pay Range: Based off experience
