Chef Willy's Cafe Cook
HOURS: a. PART-TIME: Average of 24 -36 hours per week, 2-3 days per week,
may vary in the slow and busy seasons accordingly.
b. WORK SHIFT: Any combination of shifts: 8:00 AM – 12:00 AM
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Prepares (and serves as needed) all food items purchased in Chef Willy’s Cafe; maintains a clean and sanitary work area; keeps work area organized and running efficiently; follows the laws of the State Health Department.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Minimum 6 months of experience in related kitchen positions and cooking techniques.
- Ability to handle heat.
- Ability to stand for the entire shift.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks without getting confused.
- Ability to use liquid and dry measurements to follow recipes.
- Ability to lift moderate weights.
- Good coordination to be able to work around knives and ovens.
- Ability to communicate positively with both internal and external guests.
- Ability to receive certifications required for the position.
UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS:
Female: Black slacks, white polo, and bib apron, black, leather, slip-resistant shoes with rubber soles that lace up and tie, black socks, nametag. Hair must be worn up and secured—black ball cap.
Male: Black slacks, white polo, and a bib apron, black, leather, slip-resistant shoes with rubber soles that lace up and tie, black socks, and a nametag. Hair must be worn up and secured—black ball cap.
