Position Summary

Barron Industries is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Quality Technician to support aerospace and defense programs through laboratory-based materials and metallurgical testing. This role requires hands-on experience in a regulated manufacturing environment and familiarity with aerospace quality standards.

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform laboratory inspections on metal components
2. Conduct metallurgical and materials testing, including:
   1. Chemical analysis using spectrometers
   2. Tensile testing
   3. Charpy impact testing
3. Analyze and document test results in accordance with AS9100 and aerospace/defense quality requirements
4. Maintain accurate quality documentation and inspection records
5. Create customer certification document
6. Record scrapped product

7. Support corrective actions, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
8. Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to ensure product compliance
9. Ensure mission-critical components meet customer, regulatory, and internal specifications

Required Qualifications

1. 2+ years of hands-on laboratory or materials testing experience in manufacturing
2. Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
3. Effective communication and organizational skills
4. Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience in precision casting, investment casting, metalcasting, or precision machining
2. Associate degree or higher in engineering, lab technology, or related technical field
3. AS9100 training or experience
4. Aerospace or defense manufacturing background
