Full-Time Firefighter -Paramedic (EMT may apply)
The Charlton Fire Department is seeking qualified candidates for an immediate opening for a full-time Firefighter Paramedic (EMT may apply). Ideal candidates will have experience in the delivery of prehospital emergency care at the Paramedic level, previous firefighting experience, and a desire to be engaged in a team focused organization. Candidates should be compassionate, energetic, and driven to make a difference in the community. There is no residency requirement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to successfully complete the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy Career Recruit Training Program or Equivalent and obtain Pro Board certification as FirefighterI/II.
- Possess and maintain Certifications as a Paramedic by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services.
- Possess and maintain CPR Certification.
- Career Recruit Firefighter I/II Certification (preferred)

- Yearly salary range -$72,743 - 75,002 (Paramedic) - 63,300 - 65,793 (EMT).
Candidates will be subject to a background investigation, including a Massachusetts Criminal Offender Records Information (CORI) check. Successful candidates will be subject to passing Physical Ability Testing (PAT), pre-employment medical evaluation, and character assessment.
