Warehouse/Parts Representative
Sansom Equipment Limited is the exclusive distributor and service provider for a host of diesel engines, pumps, generators, blowers, valves, VFDs,& Instrumentation for industrial, marine, offshore and municipal applications across Eastern Canada.
We are currently looking for a Parts Representative to join our professional team of aftermarket parts people in our Mount Pearl branch. This role includes sales development responsibilities with our end user account groups within the province of Newfoundland & Labrador.
Responsibilities
- Drive aftermarket parts business for equipment represented by Sansom Equipment.
- Responsible for responding to phone and email inquiries in an efficient and expeditious manner – this position requires immediate action on part requests due to the nature of the business
- Responsible for updating business software applications with creation of purchase orders, inventory receipts, packing slips, and inventory fulfillment for processing
- Shipping and receiving of goods
- Inventory tracking and periodic physical counting of inventory to meet operational needs
- Working in a collaborative manner with our clients to provide innovative solutions to their aftermarket parts needs
- Customer service responsibilities with the ability to provide excellent customer service to external as well as internal customers
- Shipping and receiving of goods and associated warehouse tasks
- Some after hour work may be required to respond to emergency breakdowns
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree is business considered an asset
- Experience in parts or inventory control considered an asset
- Understanding of mechanical equipment and a strong willingness to learn the products that we represent
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong computer skillset with Microsoft programs (such as Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Neat, clean, and tidy personal appearance and the ability to apply the same to a workstation / department
- Highly self-motivated with a goal towards aftermarket parts sales growth
- Capable of working independently daily in a structured, professional manner and environment
- Able to travel to the US for training periodically (when safe to travel)
- Forklift certification is considered an asset.
- Hold a valid driver's license.
- Knowledgeable of the regions industrial / municipal clientele.
- In possession of a strong work ethic and the willingness to see a process through to the end
