Warehouse Selector - Day Shift
The Warehouse Selector will unload, receive and distribute stocks to location; pick and fill orders, cross train with delivery drivers and night shift. Keep the integrity of the warehouse slot system in tack, and maintain a clean warehouse with rotated products ready to be picked by the night shift. This position also serves as a backup position to the night pickers and delivery drivers.
Essential Duties & Requirements of the Job:
1. Taking received product and stocking into proper locations and filling out paperwork to ensure the integrity of the warehouse pick system.
2. Using Drop Reports to fill pick slots for the night shift
3. Maintaining a clean warehouse: Fronting of stock, dusting product, rotation of inventory and cleaning warehouse
4. Unload trucks and filling out receiver slips and pallet labels.
5. Picking orders for customers
6. Making pickups and deliveries
7. Cross train to fill driver and night shift positions.
8. Problem solving, reporting solutions of daily issues to supervisor.
Requirements to Perform the Essential Duties of the Job:
1. Training of equipment on hi-lo’s and jacks.
2. Proper maintenance of jacks and hi-lo’s as assigned.
3. Examination of trucks and other equipment as assigned.
4. Excellent driving & delivery skills for driving delivery routes when necessary.
5. Required to fill out drivers log when delivering to customers
6. Must have a cell phone on at all times for business communication purposes only.
7. Overtime must be approved by the warehouse supervisor
8. Good communication skills.
9. Must clock out for lunch.
10. Neat and clean appearance wearing.
11. Other duties as assigned
Educational Requirements Needed to Perform the Duties of the Job:
1. High School/GED equivalent
2. Excellent reading and math skills.
Physical, Mental and Psychological Requirements to Perform the Essential Duties of the Job
: 1. Sound physical, mental and psychological health.
2. Must be able to lift 100lbs of product when restocking product, and when picking orders
3. Must be able to lift product off trucks for delivering to customers
4. Respectfulness to supervisors, co-workers, and customers and vendor drivers.
Licensing or Other Special Certifications Required:
1. Certain employees may be required to be a back up driver from time to time, in this case, the employee must have:
a. Department of Transportation Medical (DOT) Card must be valid at all times. Any tickets incurred for an invalid medical card will be the employee’s responsibility.
b. Valid Chauffeurs license.
