Licensed Journeyman Plumber

We are seeking a skilled and licensed Journeyman Plumber to join our team in West Springfield, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in commercial and residential plumbing systems, a valid Massachusetts Journeyman Plumber license, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship and safety standards. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems, fixtures, and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and components in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems
• Inspect and test plumbing systems for proper operation and code compliance
• Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues and recommend cost-effective solutions
• Work with various piping materials including copper, PVC, cast iron, and PEX
• Collaborate with other trades and contractors on job sites
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with Massachusetts plumbing codes and safety regulations
• Stand for inspections

Qualifications:

• Valid Massachusetts Journeyman Plumber License (Required)
• High school diploma or GED; technical school or apprenticeship program preferred
• Minimum of 4 years of plumbing experience, including time served as an apprentice
• Strong knowledge of MA plumbing code and OSHA safety standards
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
• Capable of working in confined spaces and at heights
• Able to stand, kneel, and bend for long periods
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and environments
