Loan Administration Processor

 

Position Summary:

This position reports to the Loan Administration Manager and is responsible for reviewing and preparing loan papers to ensure completeness and is responsible for the functions required to complete transactions between the loan establishment and borrowers for consumer, commercial and real estate transactions. 

 Essential Functions:

  • Verify and examine information and accuracy in loan approval package.
    • Must be within Loan Policy Guidelines
    • In Compliance with different Regulations
      • HMDA
      • HOEPA
      • Reg B
      • Reg Z
      • TRID
  • Prepare loan documents within Laser Pro, both application disclosures and closing packages.
  • Board loans into the core system including building out collateral for each loan.
  • Set up loans (if needed) on Auto Debit from internal accounts or external accounts.
  • Prepare loan files to be scanned into the electronic imaging system.
  • Assists with correcting exceptions found in loan files by Loan Review.
  • Assists with payment corrections and payment research.
  • Waive Late Charges approved by the Officer.
  • May be responsible for setting up One-Time ACH payments.
  • May be responsible for posting and/or verifying Electronic Loan Payments.
  • May be responsible for reviewing daily loan reports.
  • Mail mortgage documents for recordation.
  • Conduct UCC searches and file UCC Statements.
  • Type and book letters of credit.
  • Type and book Home Equity Lines of Credit.
  • Prepare Title Work for DMV.
  • Orders title work from attorney’s office or title companies.
  • Assist in organizing loan closings.
  • Request flood certificates.
  • May have the authority to appove official checks.
  • Answer and assist with phone calls made to the department
  • Uses independent judgment and decision making in carrying out the essential functions of the position.
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize your workload. 
  • All other duties assigned.

Working Conditions:

The work for this position is conducted in a back office of our bank and the requirement for travel is limited to travel for training and meetings.  This position could require working extended hours in the evenings or weekends, depending on workload.

Experience and Education:

Associate's Degree (or other 2-year degree) and/ or equivalent loan administration experience. Three years of experience in consumer and commercial loan processing preferred.  Experience in Laser-Pro preferred.

 

The position of Loan Processor has three different levels: Loan Processor I, II and III.  The position level is primarily determined by the following categories: 

  • The type of loans in the portfolio handled by the Processor (Real Estate, Consumer, Commercial)
  • The level of expertise held by the incumbent in the position
  • The complexity of the portfolio
  • The years of experience of the incumbent
