Assistant Branch Manager
Position Summary:
This position reports to the Branch Manager or Chief Retail Banking Officer and is responsible for directing platform and Personal Banker activity to provide efficient high quality customer service, assisting in the achievement of retail sales targets, and delivering that service profitably through a well-trained and motivated staff. Travel to, and attend training events as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure and provide quality service to both internal and external customers.
- Greet customers as they enter branch.
- Encourage teamwork.
- Complete all training requirements, including compliance, in a timely manner.
- Complete monthly audit of Vault and Head Teller.
- Supervises Lead Personal Banker, Personal Bankers and Relationship Managers
- Recommend products and services to prospective and existing customers.
- Manage branch in the absence of manager.
- Participate with manager in the achievement of retail sales goals.
- Oversee procedures to ensure effective utilization of staff, objective performance evaluations, and an equitable salary structure.
- Oversee the coordination of communications to branch staff.
- Work to meet existing branch performance standards in areas such as operating loss control, Personal Bankers’ levels of experience, bank secrecy, and compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Accept and process loan applications.
- Follow and comply with all bank regulations and security procedures.
- Resolve customer complaints.
- Assist in clearing loan and deposit exceptions.
- Assist in overdraft decisions or check approval decisions that comply with Bank policies within current authority, in absence of Branch Manager.
- All other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education:
Four year college degree, or equivalent banking industry experience and/or a minimum of one year of branch experience.
