This position is responsible for the management of the healthcare systems across Canada. Their objectives encompass:

(i)                  Developing and executing strategic account plans for major healthcare systems across Canada (local / provincial / national GPOs).

(ii)                Engaging authorities and procurement organizations (e.g. PHSA, ON Health, CAG, RAMQ, Nova Scotia Health Authority, etc.).

(iii)               Managing distribution agreements with our network of partners.

 

The ideal candidate will build and maintain strong, long-term partnerships with key healthcare stakeholders - including health authorities, procurement groups, distributors, and government bodies while identifying opportunities to deliver value through our healthcare products and services. They will effectively embody Urgo Medical culture and collaborate with the Urgo Medical Canada team.

 

In addition, this position requires a self-motivated individual with high energy and passion, a personal and professional history of leadership, management, and sales results accompanied by excellent communication skills as well as a strategic mindset to prioritize and deliver on key objectives.

 

As an Urgo Medical Manager of Healthcare Systems, you will be eligible for an incentive compensation plan based on:

Duties and Responsibilities

·       Strategic Account Leadership

o   Develop and execute long-term strategic account plans with major Canadian healthcare systems, hospital networks, group purchasing organizations (GPOs), and provincial health agencies.

o   Identify and prioritize key accounts that align with business growth objectives and health system transformation goals.

o   Conduct regular performance reviews

 

·       Team collaboration

o   Collaborate with key account managers and the sales area manager, ensuring alignment with their strategic roadmap.

o   Engage with Leadership Team (General Manager, Finance and Operations Manager) to define and execute the Canada strategic plan.

o   Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

 

·       Reporting and Analytics:

o   Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) on targeted accounts.

o   Prepare regular reports on account activities, progress, and outcomes for senior management.

o   Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.

  • ·       Ability to work in a cross-functional team in a dynamic environment for ad-hoc projects.
  • ·       Strategic mindset with the ability to define key target priorities, build action plans, and deliver against them.
  • ·       Excellent time and project management skills are required.
  • ·       Fluent in English and French is preferred

 

Requirements

  • Education:

o   Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management or a related field is required.

  • Experience:

o   Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in account management or sales, with a focus on the healthcare sector.

o   Proven track record of managing and growing healthcare systems partnerships.

  • Attributes:
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Strong customer-centric approach.
    • High level of integrity and professionalism.
    • Ability to travel within Canada, and occasionally to the US, including frequent overnight stays.

Work Environment

·       Indoors, in an office environment, with temperature control.

·       No adverse environmental conditions expected.

·       Travel approximately 30% of the time.
